Shelters i Middelfart
Seven spots along the coast, five shelter types rooted in timber, good architecture and fishing history. You can arrive by foot, bike or kayak and find a fire pit, views of Lillebælt and enjoy the peace.

You wake up to the sound of the sea
Maybe it's the waves of Lillebælt breaking against the shore below. Maybe it's the rain drumming on the wooden shingle cladding above you. Either way, you're close to what you came for.
Skrubben, Havtasken, Stenbideren, Hornfisken and Ålekvabben. Five architect-designed shelters across seven spots along Middelfart's coast. This isn't just a roof over your head. It's considered architecture rooted in the materiality of the coast and its fishing history.
Along Middelfart's 117-kilometre coastline you'll find the shelters, designed by LUMO and Harrebek Arkitekter. The shelters can be used all year and are accessible on foot, by bike and kayak. Nature experiences by Lillebælt begin here – where you turn off your phone and are present in the moment.
